Job Description

A Continental Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes from European and Western cuisine. They will be responsible for managing the kitchen, ordering and managing inventory, and ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes from European and Western cuisine, including but not limited to, pastas, salads, soups, stews, and meat dishes.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest quality standards.
Manage the kitchen, including ordering and managing inventory, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Work with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Train and mentor other kitchen staff as necessary.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in cooking and share knowledge with the team.

Qualification

High School Diploma

Skill & Experience

Proven experience as a Continental Cook, with a strong knowledge of European and Western cuisine.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances.
Knowledge of food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Formal culinary training is a plus.
