Job Description
The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the production activities during a designated shift at the bottle manufacturing plant. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for ensuring that production targets are met, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring the safety of employees.
Responsibilities
· Lead and supervise a team of production employees during a designated shift.
· Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during the shift.
· Monitor and manage the production schedule to ensure that production targets are met.
· Ensure that all products meet the quality standards set by the company.
· Provide coaching and training to employees to improve their skills and performance.
· Maintain accurate records of production and quality data.
· Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
· Collaborate with other departments to improve production processes and resolve issues.
· Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Skill & Experience
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Experience with quality control and safety protocols.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
