Job Description
A prestigious shipbuilding company in Hamburg/Berlin, Germany is looking for skilled and experienced Ship Insulators to join their team. As a Ship Insulator, you will be responsible for applying insulation materials to ships and machinery to ensure temperature regulation, noise reduction, and protection against moisture. The company is seeking individuals who have a solid background in insulation work, specifically in the shipbuilding industry, to contribute to the creation of high-quality, well-insulated vessels. Responsibilities
- Install thermal and acoustic insulation materials on ships and marine vessels to control temperature, reduce noise, and protect against moisture.
- Apply insulation to pipes, ducts, and other shipboard equipment to meet performance and safety standards.
- Use specialized tools and materials to cut, shape, and install insulation in various areas of the vessel.
- Ensure that all installations comply with safety regulations and shipbuilding standards.
- Conduct inspections to verify that insulation is installed correctly and functions as intended.
- Collaborate with the engineering and shipbuilding teams to ensure proper integration of insulation systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow industry-standard safety practices.
Qualification
- Minimum education level of 12th grade (secondary school).
Skill & Experience
- Proven experience as a ship insulator or in a similar insulation trade with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.
- Expertise in applying thermal, acoustic, and moisture protection insulation in shipbuilding and marine industries.
- Ability to use various insulation materials, tools, and cutting equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in shipbuilding.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Basic knowledge of German (A1 level) and moderate English skills.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and blueprints.
